NC Beer Scene - Hendersonville Version

Visited Southern Appalachian Brewery in Hendersonville today.

Tried a 5 sampler flight. Very good IPA, possibly with Simcoe and Amarillo hops (need to do some research).

Also enjoyed the amber and the Belgian IPA, tho I'm glad we sampled it first. After their IPA, the Belgian lost a lot of hop characteristics and the yeast really came forward, almost too much clove/banana but still very dry. Have it by itself, lesson learned.

Some photos of Father's day at the Brewery.

Good idea; 4, 5, or 6 sampler flights.

Liz Steele doing the pouring duties today.

Great place to hang out in, quiet neighborhood, plenty of parking, and several nights a week there is live music. Gotta like it.

Cheers.
